Colour Palette

Overview

The De La Rue colour palette reflects our brand attributes: warm, progressive, expert and passionate. De La Rue Blue and White are our primary colours, with a supporting selection of both vibrant and neutral tones.

Our colour palette is designed digital-first, so RGB should be used in the first instance for digital applications, HEX for web and CMYK colour values for printing. Where Pantone is the only option, closest match suggestions should be used. RAL codes

help define colours for paints. Please use colour values exactly as they are shown here.

Do not create your own colour conversions.

When printing, use a digital four-colour process on Magno Satin or Vision Indigo Uncoated paper (FSC-certified) where possible, as these will produce the best results for our colours. Use the same paper stock for any litho printed materials.

Tint Hierarchy

We can use of all our supporting colours at 75%, 50% and 25%, which should be used sparingly, for example as textbox backgrounds or within graphs and charts, and should be used as prioritised below:

Divisions

Each division has a specific set of colours to distinguish them.

- Currency uses De La Rue Blue and White with Emerald Green as the differentiator, supported by Ochre.

- Authentication uses De La Rue Blue and White with Dusky Pink as the differentiator, supported by Stone Grey.

We have also created a set of gradients for use exclusively within divisions. These are composed of colours within the palette.

Only use the colours as specified here for Currency and Authentication materials.

To ensure legibility of text in digital and print applications, our colour palette needs to pass online accessibility standards. Only the colour pairings shown here should be used to ensure WCAG AA accessibility is achieved on digital applications.

When using text with gradients, avoid placing White text on top of lighter colours.
